About the Video Project for Norma Jean

This project was started on February 16, 2008.  While going through some photos, an idea came up to make a DVD video of Norma with photos of her, her family, and her friends along with her favorite songs.  It was soon realized that there were not many unique photos of Norma (also none prior to April 1990).  It is needed to find other photos of Norma, her family and friends to make the video more complete.

To help spread the word, a video introduction of this project has been created.  This will most likely be an open project for many months (and, hopefully not, years) to come.  As new media is submitted, the final Dedication and Memory Video will be updated and expanded.

UPDATES

February 22, 2008:  The text of the video introduction of this project was written out.  Certain photos were selected and scanned into the video introduction.

March 1, 2008:  The music score was decided and integrated into the video introduction (Creed: What's this life for?).  The song has a symbolic meaning to Norma's oldest brother, Roger, the author of this video introduction.  Some may consider this song somewhat religious in nature (it's even debated that Creed is a Christian Rock band), but the author interpets the song as how hard it is to find happiness and meaning in the world (See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creed_band for more information.  See also the band's website at www.creed.com ).

March 9, 2008:  The video introduction was completed and uploaded to YouTube (see address above).  Note that this is an edited version of the original DVD video introduction so that it can be viewed publicly.  The original DVD version of this video introduction is available to those who request one (see contact information below).  Of course, the original DVD video introduction is only available to those who know Norma.

April 16th, 2008:  Happy Birthday Norma (born 34 years ago).  The webpage for the video project was created and uploaded to this site.

April 30, 2008:  Webpage layout errors on this page were fixed.

May 9, 2008:  Home videos that inlcuded Norma was found.  Concentrating on converting these VHS tapes to DVD so that splices can be made.

May 20, 2008:  Added a link (see above) to the lyrics of the music score of this video introduction.
